Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Des Moines Public Schools are partnering to offer a youth basketball league for the 2014-2015 season. The program is for students in grades 1st through 7th. The registration deadline is October 17 and fees are $50 per student or $450 per team. Click the image to learn more and register to play.

Welcome Letter 2014 PH 2014 supply list
Students at 19 elementary schools, including Pleasant Hill Elementary, will adjust their schedule by 10 minutes this fall. It’s a move that will give bus drivers much needed time to get from school to school. Click on the image to read more about how the small time change will improve student safety and save the district hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Children can register now for the Pleasant Hill Public Library’s summer reading program. Those who sign up can earn rewards for meeting reading goals and when reading logs are completed they will be entered in an end-of-summer prize drawing.
