As part of a week full of activities to raise awareness about the devastation that can be caused by drugs, students wore red for a schoolwide picture on Thursday. Red Ribbon Week was established in 1980 by the National Family Partnership to support families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth. Join us for our 3rd Annual Panther Family Jam on November 4th! Its our Star Spangled Family Jam! There will be food, games, dancing, raffles and of course time to be a Star Spangled Panther!

Recently, 4th graders joined with Kindergarten to buddy read and practice their snap/sight words. Both grades enjoyed this activity and look forward to doing it again!

Four 4th grade students were award the Presidential Volunteer Award for their volunteer service to the school. These students were awarded a medal, certificate and letter from President Obama.

May 7th was the Panther Dash! This annual event supports our PTO, and a large goal this year was to expand the playground! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible! Our new addition is under construction!

At DMPS, we work to ensure that students are receiving a great education in schools that are not only first-rate learning environments, but are also safe and secure. Over the years DMPS has taken many steps to better ensure the safety and well being of our students, staff, parents and visitors.
