Due to a MidAmerican Energy power outage currently affecting more than 3,000 customers in the Des Moines area, including Pleasant Hill Elementary, start time for teachers and staff has been delayed until 10 a.m. Because of the outage, phones are not functioning. MidAmerican Energy reports power will be restored by late-morning. Thank you for your patience.

On Friday February 10th, the 5th graders went on a field trip to the state historical building and the state capital. The students were able to tour the chambers and see where Iowa laws are debated.
