Hey Everyone! My name is Vanessa Purcell and this is my second year as the librarian at Pleasant Hill.

I come from a small town in Missouri and moved up here in 2022 after graduating from Northwest Missouri State University, Go Bearcats! I currently live on the Southside of Des Moines with my husband, Simon, and our cats Nymeria and Circe.

If I’m not at Pleasant Hill you can find me spending my time cooking, reading, or traveling to new places!
